Good Morning, LaBrae Vikings! These are your morning announcements for:

 

Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Here’s what’s happening:

 

 

Attention all students who signed up for OSAIC this year:  your first meeting will be today, after school in room 924 until 3:15. 

 

Homecoming pictures are now available to be picked up in Mr. Hampton's room, 907B.

 

Girl’s basketball conditioning will be from 5-6:00 tonight in the middle school gym.

 

Anyone interested in bowling this year please sign-up in the Athletic Office by Thursday, October 19th.

 

The Scholastic book fair is open and will run through Thursday.  Students will be scheduled to visit the fair through their English class.  So, mosey on down to the library and check-out our Wild West book fair.  Help support literacy and our school library!

 

 

Do you love reading and writing?  Do you want to meet other teens like you and awarding winning authors?  Then, the YSU English festival is for you!  All students interested in attending this year's YSU English festival, stop in Mrs. Helmick's room 905 and pick up an informational packet as soon as possible.

Monday, October 16, 2017. Here’s what’s happening:

 

 

Attention all students who signed up for OSAIC this year:  your first meeting will be tomorrow, after school in room 924 until 3:15. 

 

Anyone interested in bowling this year please sign-up in the Athletic Office by Thursday, October 19th.

 

The Scholastic book fair is open and will run Thursday, October 19th.  Students will be scheduled to visit the fair through their English class.  So, mosey on down to the library and check-out our Wild West book fair.  Help support literacy and our school library!

 

 

Do you love reading and writing?  Do you want to meet other teens like you and awarding winning authors?  Then, the YSU English festival is for you!  All students interested in attending this year's YSU English festival, stop in Mrs. Helmick's room 905 and pick up an informational packet as soon as possible.  

 

The cross country team competed at SimEarich/ AAC Championship this last Saturday and would like to congratulate Chloe Rose for placing 13th.  We would like to shout out to Zach Meyer, Cole Faler and Matt Biery for beating their personal records and to the boys Varsity team for coming in 1st place overall.

 

A VERY Special shout out to the NEW SCHOOL RECORD holder Jakob Rose.  The old school record was held in 1988 with a time of 16:34.  Jakob, who came in first place overall, beat his personal record, is the AAC runner of the year came in with a time of 16:31.

Thursday, October 12, 2017. Here’s what’s happening:

 

 

The 1st German Club meeting will be held today during lunch in room 924. Bring your lunch. If you would like to be considered for an office, please do so in writing to Frau Cusimano on Wednesday, by the end of the school day.

 

Attention SADD members, there will be a meeting today during lunch in room 922 to discuss red ribbon week. Please plan on attending.

Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Here’s what’s happening:

 

There will be a drama club meeting in room 705 today. 

 

Staff, remember flu shots begin at 2pm this afternoon.  They will be in the lounge across from the high school athletic office.  Remember to bring the form you were given to complete as well as your insurance card.

The Lady Vikings Varsity Soccer team battled with United in their last regular season game.  United was able to score one and the Lady Vikings tried to tie the score with a shot that rocketed off the goal post by Marissa Roberts keeping the score at 1-0.  Hannah Hill had 14 saves. The Lady Vikings will travel to JFK next Wednesday for their first playoff game.

The cross country team would like to congratulate Jakob Rose for placing 15th of 432 runners last Saturday at the Legends meet.  We would also like to congratulate Riley Sullivan and Adam Nottingham for beating their personal records.

Friday, October 6, 2017. Here’s what’s happening:

 

Attention Students:  Backpacks and large tote bags are not permitted at any time during football games.  If you have any questions or concerns please speak to your principal. 

 

Pre-sale homecoming tickets will be on sale until today @ 2:45.  All tickets at the door will be $10.00.

 

The homecoming dance is tomorrow night from 7:00-10:00 p.m.

 

There will be an LSC meeting today, during lunch in Mr. Klotzbach's room 926.  All students are welcome to attend, just bring your lunch and enjoy the study.

 

Orange Unity shirts are on sale now. Forms can be found in the classroom or from Mrs. Frederick. Sale ends Monday. $10 for t-shirts and $20 for hoodie.

Homecoming tickets are on sale at lunch through tomorrow. Tickets can also be purchased before or after school in room 907B.  If you are planning on bringing an outside guest you must get a guest form for approval.

 

The homecoming dance is this Saturday from 7:00-10:00 p.m.

 

Orange Unity shirts are on sale now. Forms can be found in the classroom or from Mrs. Frederick. Sale ends Monday, October 9th. $10 for t-shirts and $20 for hoodie.

 

NHS & The Red Cross would like to say THANKS to all students and staff who attempted or were able to give blood last Friday. Over 80 lives will be impacted by your willingness to help!!

The Lady Vikings Varsity Soccer Team battled Newton Falls to a1-1 tie last night.  The game was scoreless in the first half.  Kaylie Klotzbach scored the tying goal for the Lady Vikings.  Hannah Hill made 6 saves. The Lady Vikings travel to Jefferson on Wednesday.
