The Simple Dollar

The Simple Dollar is an informative and helpful guide to college scholarships.  Click on the link and read this highly acclaimed syndicated website.  The Simple Dollar has been featured and has been given high praise on reputable sources such as CNN, MSN, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes for its money saving ideas and valuable information.

Trent, the founder, started the site as a blog about getting himself out of personal debt. His experiences have helped thousands of people also escape the trappings of debt. Because college loan debt is a hot button issue now, one resource we prepared to help students save money on tuition is The College Scholarship Guide. There are many scholarships available to students of all kinds and this guide not only provides actionable tips on applying for those scholarships, but it also helps students realize how accessible and truly valuable getting a scholarship can be. Higher education costs are at an all-time high, and landing into the right scholarship could be the difference between graduating debt-free or paying off loans for years and years. The great news is that anyone can just be eligible for some type of scholarship. A resource like this will help students and their families prepare for post-secondary education. You just need to know where to look and be organized enough to apply. This guide takes you through the steps.

Ohio Graduation Test (OGT)

The Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) will be administered to all 10th grade students, and 11th and 12th grade students who have not passed a portion(s) of the OGT, the entire week of March 10th.  Also, all 9th graders will be given an OGT practice test this same week.

Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors taking the test will be expected to be at school by 7:40 a.m. as the OGT administration will begin promptly at 7:45 a.m.  Student attendance is of the utmost importance.  A light breakfast will be provided at no cost beginning at 7:25 a.m. in the cafeteria.   Additional food will be available at usual school prices.

All 11th and 12th grade students who are not taking the OGT, will be on a delayed schedule during the entire week of March 10th.

Students not taking the test will be permitted into the building at 10:15 a.m. with 1st period class beginning at 10:24 a.m.   All students must enter through the main event entrance and sit in the cafeteria until the bell rings at 10:21 a.m.  We cannot arrange for transportation at this time.  For those students with transportation problems, a supervised study hall will be available in the Cafeteria from 7:40 a.m. until 10:21 a.m.  Only students taking the test or in study hall will be permitted entry into the building during testing time (7:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.).

Throughout the testing week, students will follow an amended schedule which will allow all classes to meet every day, thus maintaining our educational programs.

Please contact Linda Nogales at (330) 898-0800, ext. 544, if you have any questions.
