Prep Bowl News:

Prep Bowl Tournament Today at 6:15pm.  The Google Meet link will be posted in Classroom.  See Mrs. Paster with any questions.

 

Book Fair News:

The Scholastic Book Fair runs through October 18th.  If you would like to order, please use this web address https://www.scholastic.com/bf/labraehighschool1 attached to your book fair flyer or go to the LaBrae School District website and use the link posted there.

 

Viking Nation:

Any student interested in joining VIKING NATION, our school spirit club, please sign up on the sheet on Mrs. Helmick's door, room #905, by Tuesday, October 13th.  Any questions, see Viking Nation's President, Lainey Phillips.

 

NHS News:

NHS meeting Thursday, October 15th after school in Room #922.

 

October is National Bullying Prevention Month:

*Girls and Boys are equally likely to experience bullying.

*Every year more than 3.2 millon students are bullied.

*Bullying is a learned behavior and it can by changed.

 

Soccer News:

The LaBrae Varsity Girls Soccer Team shut out Crestview Monday night in their last home regular season game 7-0.  Aryana Hartman and Briley Daniels both scored 2 goals.  Desi Allen led the scoring by scoring from a penalty kick. Maggie Guy and Kylie Thornton also scored a goal. Desi had an assist. Mara Kujala had 11 saves. The strong defense of Desi Allen, Kylie Thornton, Emily Hyland, Kira Thornton, Nadia McCoy and Lindsey Brigham all contributed to the shutout. The Lady Vikings will play at Lordstown on Saturday at noon.

 

There is Early Release on Today,  October 8th & NO SCHOOL on Tomorrow, October 9th.

 

Afternoon detention will be in room #805B.

Congrats to the JV & Varsity Volletball Teams for Beating Campbell!

 

Soccer News:

Congrats to the Varsity Girls Soccer Team for beating Brookfield 5 - 1!

Aryana Hartman scored 3 goals.

Briley Daniels & Ivey English both scored 1.

 

The Varsity Girls Soccer Team also defeated Waterloo 5 - 2!

Briley Daniels scored 3 goals.

Aryana Hartman scored 2 goals.

Mara Kujala had 8 saves.

Spirit Week Videos:

Don't forget!  Make a short video of What It Means to be a Viking & send it to Mrs. Paster by 5:00 pm. on Today.

 

Spirit Week Dress up Days - September 21 - 25th:

Monday & Tuesday will be "Merica"

Wedensday & Thursday will be "Hippie/Tie Dye"

Fridays will be "Viking Gear" to support our Football Team at the Homecoming Game.
