Good Morning, LaBrae Vikings! These are your morning announcements for:

 

Monday, October 23, 2017. Here’s what’s happening:

 

There will a meeting for anyone interested in Bowling this Winter on Monday during lunch in the VLC. Please make every effort to attend.

 

There will be a drama club meeting on Wednesday after school.  IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A PART IN THE CHRISTMAS PRODUCTION, YOU MUST ATTEND THIS MEETING.

 

All cross country athletes can pick up their banquet tickets in the athletic office.  Tickets purchased for family members are $15/person.  The banquet will be held at Roby Lee's on November 9 at 6pm.  The last day to pick up or purchase tickets will be November 7th. 

 

Attention anyone interested in joining SKI CLUB this year.  See Mrs. Kovac-Silvers in room 921 before or after school for details.

 

Any sophomore interested in attending YOUTH LEADERSHIP MAHONING VALLEY can see Miss Nogales for an application.  ALL APPS ARE DUE TO MISS NOGALES BY NOON ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 27th!  ONLY 4 APPS CAN BE SUBMITTED & THEY ARE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.

 

Do you love reading and writing?  Do you want to meet other teens like you and awarding winning authors?  Then, the YSU English festival is for you!  All students interested in attending this year's YSU English festival, stop in Mrs. Helmick's room 905 and pick up an informational packet as soon as possible.  

 

You are invited to dress up for Halloween on Oct. 31st.  The cost is $1.00 to dress up and the proceeds will go to the Connection Team formerly known as the Morning Announcements Team.  Don’t forget to follow the rules for dressing up…

1. ALL Costumes must follow LHS dress code! 

2. No weapons, toy weapons, or masks can be worn. NOTHING GORY!

3. Hats are permitted!! (Just don’t cover your face!)

 

Reb Ribbon week theme for tomorrow is………Give drugs the boot...........Wear boots or Western wear on Tuesday!

 

And in sports……………The cross country team competed at Districts Saturday and would like to congratulate Chloe Rose, Zoe Bechdel, Connor Meyer and Trenton McCombs for beating their personal records.  The Boys Cross Country team placed 3rd overall and will be moving on to Regionals this coming Saturday.  Jakob Rose placed 2nd overall, Zach Meyer placed 16th, Adam Nottingham 19th and Connor Meyer 22nd.
