The LaBrae Legacy Project Committee is comprised of a group of alumni and the LaBrae High School administration, and it is initiating the LaBrae Legacy Project.  The Project is an effort to publicly honor the athletic legacy of LaBrae High School, Braceville High School, and Leavittsburg High School.  The goal is to decorate the LaBrae High School gym with team banners signifying the various conference championships, playoff appearances, district/regional championships, etc. by each respective sport.  Doing so recognizes and honors our history as well as enhances our school and community spirit.  Currently, members of the committee are researching and cataloging the athletic accomplishments of the various teams throughout LaBrae's history.  The committee has tentatively set this coming 2017-2018 basketball season as the goal for displaying the team banners.

The second function of the committee is to establish a LaBrae Athletic Hall of Fame.  The committee is developing the process of application and selection to a hall of fame.  Additionally, the committee is determining how the potential honorees will be displayed in the school.

The committee knows that the time is now to honor the rich athletic legacy of our three high schools and our legendary student-athletes.  The projected cost of the banners and HOF start up materials is $12,000.  The committee is in need of financial support to facilitate making this dream a reality.  If you are an alumni, parent, community member, or friend, the committee would appreciate your consideration for supporting this effort with a financial donation.  To donate, please click on the "Donate" button on the district's web page.  After selecting your donation amount, please be sure to select the "LaBrae Legacy Fund" to direct your donation to this cause.  All donations are deposited, via PayPal, directly with the treasurer of LaBrae Local Schools and will be spent on this project.
