Good morning, LaBrae Vikings! These are your morning announcements for:

Monday, May 7, 2018. Here’s what’s happening:

2018/2019 boys and girls Cross Country signups are in the Athletic office. Signups will run through Wednesday. Returning athletes must still sign up.

Spanish Club will be having a fundraiser at Chipotle this coming Saturday from 4-8 pm. Your first period teacher should have a flier to pass out to you this morning. You need to show the flier for Spanish Club to receive money. If you need more fliers, please see Sra. Fee. Muchas gracias.

Petitions are now available for students in grades 8 through 11 who are interested in being members of the LaBrae High School student council for the 2018-2019 school year. Petitions can be picked up in Mr. Hampton's room, 907B and are to be returned to Mr. Hampton no later than Monday, May 14, 2018.

High School Track Members: The track banquet will be May 21 at Robbie Lees in Newton Falls.  Please make sure to get your invitation from Coach Coxe today.  Tickets may be purchased in the Athletic Department and are $14 per person.  All tickets must be purchased by this Friday May 11.

All library books are due back to the library by this Friday, May 11^th, so that we can begin our annual inventory.  After May 11^th, no additional books may be checked-out.

Camp Counselors' will meet Tuesday, May 15, at lunch in Mr. Bailey’s room.

Friday, May 4, 2018. Here’s what’s happening:

Attention National Honor Society members: Don't forget to turn in any extra popcorn orders before lunch today.  NHS officer elections will be held next Thursday May 10, during lunch, so if you would like to be on the ballot, do not forget to turn your intention to run into Frau by today.

Free Books!!!!   Yes, LaBrae was selected to receive a huge donation of books for grades 6-12 from Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank.  So if you are interested in obtaining free reading material, just visit the library, find the bookcases that are labeled “Book Give-away” and select those books that you might enjoy reading.  Those books then become yours.  Remember, books are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Weight Lifting is cancelled for today.

Any high school girl interested in playing volleyball this fall needs to sign up in Miss Frantz's room, room 611. There will be an informational meeting tonight from 6-7 pm in her room.

Prom tickets are on sale through today.  Ticket prices are as follows:  Seniors and Juniors $20 invited Sophomores and outside guest $40.  Tickets can be purchased in Ms. Farone's room 8th period and after school.  

Early dismissal for prom will be at 11:14.  Students can obtain an early dismissal request when they sign-up for prom.  The signed form must be returned to the Attendance Office by Wednesday, May 2nd.  Early dismissal is a half day absence.  All other requests before 11:14 a.m. will be unexcused, unless doctor indicated.  All students, except those decorating, must be in school ½ day in order to attend the dance.

Any sophomore interested in participating in the Youth Leadership Mahoning Valley – Please stop in the Guidance Office for an application and more information on this leadership opportunity.  Deadline to return application to the Guidance Office is today.

High School End of Course exams resume on Monday.  All students currently taking Algebra 1 and Geometry will be taking the exams Monday and Tuesday.  Students not participating do not need to arrive to school until 9:35.  These students should report to the cafeteria and remain there until all students are dismissed to 1^st period.  The bussing schedule will remain normal.  You are strongly encouraged to ride the bus if you cannot find transportation for the delayed start.  Breakfast will not be available to students arriving at the delayed start. 

Don't forget that today is the last day for yearbook sales. See Mrs. Aldridge for an order form. 

The main dish for lunch today will be assorted pizzas.
