Volleyball Banquet:

The banquet will be November 16th @ Sorrento's.  Pickup your tickets in the Attendance Office until the end of the day today.  Guest tickets are $25.

 

YSU English Festival 2024:

$10 registration fee is due by the end of the day today to Mrs. Helmick or Mrs. Royal.

Do you want to be a 6th Grade Camp Counselor?

Any Junior interested in becoming a 6th Grade Camp Counselor the week of May 20th - 24th, please sign-up in the Middle School Office.  There is an application that will need to be filled out and turned in.  The deadline for sign-ups and application submission is November 21st.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Hinzman in Room 611 in the Middle School.

 

Viking Volunteers....

Volunteers are needed on November 16th at Bascom for pie pick-up from 3:30 - 5:30 pm..  Sign up by November 15th in the Counselor's Office if you are able to help!!

College Credit Plus (CCP) Night:

When:       Monday, November 20, 2023

Where:      LHS Auditorium

Time:         Registration begins @ 5:30 p.m.

                  Presentation begins @ 6:00 p.m.

ALL STUDENTS who are interested in taking CCP classes for the 2024-2025 school year are encouraged to attend with a parent or guardian.

This event will inform parent(s) and students about important information and criteria needed in order to take a CCP class.

 

The 2024 Yearbooks are now available to purchase online.

You may go to our "LaBrae" website and scroll down the left side of the page and you will see a "Yearbooks For Sale" picture with "Buy A HS Yearbook" link.

November is College Application Month... Join us to encourage students and share their #IApplied story.

Your next steps:

Paying your application fee either by credit or debit card, check in the mail or college application fee waiver.

Follow up items:

It is important to find out what other information is required and send it to the admissions office ASAP.

Don't forget your confirmation page:

Before you log off the computer, make sure you have received confirmation that your application has been submitted.

Schools should contact you!

Check your email regularly, at least twice a week. Forward the information requested.

Where can I learn more about paying for college?

Talk to your counselor about state resources for financial aid.  In addition, the U.S. Department of Education has resources to help you.  How to apply for aid:  https://studentaid.gov/.

Speak with school counselor about your financial aid options.

Ask you counselor about upcoming FAFSA completion events.

If you haven't already, apply for your FSA ID so you can begin the FAFSA completion process do so soon.

Once you have your FSA ID, complete and submit the FAFSA as early as possible.  The sooner you submit the form, the better chance you have of getting an affordable financial aid package.
