IMPORTANT CAFETERIA NEWS

As nutritional requirements have become more strict with things like sodium and calorie amounts, the cafeteria has had to adjust some of our recipes to be in compliance with the new USDA requirements.

Specifically, we will discontinue our double dogs recipe to a single hot dog and french toast sticks will be reduced from 4 to 3.

While sodium is an essential nutrient, most teens consume too much. Therefore, the USDA has created new sodium and calorie limits in an effort to provide healthier options for students within the schools.

High school students are reminded and encouraged to take the two half cup fruit and the two half cup vegetable servings each day to receive the nutrients and energy they need for the day.
